Rumor it may seems but a lot of activities are currently shot at Palm.

Word on the street (or via super-secret emails) is that Palm is about to begin beta testing on a fancy new device. Apparently, an email went out to select individuals calling for Sprint customers who will use Bluetooth devices and have access to WiFi. The email further requests that potential testers be "seasoned business professionals" who "commute and spend a ton of time working on email and on the phone."

From the sounds of things, the company is gearing up to road test its heavily rumored, WiFi-equipped Treo 800w, a Windows Mobile device likely sporting 6.1. If you don't know what we're talking about, it's that mildly dated looking deviceCES keynote that we've also seen in leaks recently. Nice going on the new spec and inclusion of WiFi (at long last) -- now how about some new form factors?

It's nice to be informed while on the go. AvantGo is a mobile internet provider for platforms in the likes of smartphone & PDA's. By syncing your devices either by wireless or thru your syncing cable(for my Treo680), you'll get updated news and information that you can browse and read as you go. The software is free for download with an initial account utilization up to 410 k / 3000 k.

Enough for a substantial no. of channels to be installed. And speaking of channel selection. I make sure I have channels that tackles and bring information about world news, health, music, & technology. Palm new smartphone which is bundled with Sprint are dubbed the smallest smartphone(yet) the Palm has released. It is also a sim-free phone which means you have to be a subscriber of Sprint to get this phone.

I've check the specs via Palm and I found out that the only quite mentioning difference amongst other smartphones the company has released is its size.

The Wi-Fi and the new OS has been significantly a no-show at all. I don't know if they have already made improvement on its battery life because the Treo series battery lives are very disappointing.

However, with it's introductory price of USD99.99 might be its key to catch attention of prospective users. Nevertheless, they are purposely been created so much for the younger generation market.

I don't see any significant development Palm has been doing lately. Are they about to die? Soon?

Palm's Ed Colligan announced the next year release of Palm OS II, a Linux-Garnet hybrid operating system for Palm devices and smartphone. Expect future release of Treo's and other Palm devices will still run on the current existing available Palm OS. As of the moment, the company are focusing all their effort to make the Foleo platform be an effective mobile platform.

Rumored new face of Treo has surfaced a week later after the release Jeff Hawkin's "Secret Project" named Foleo. Seems Mr. Hawkins is not quite satisfied on the Foleo's big entrance yet he appear to be of perfect composure enough bring another Treo-inspired smartphone on the scene.

Yet unconfirmed but hopefully this new Treo can now do all other smartphone has done already. High-resolution camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and most of all, battery life that could at least compete with others if can't make it the best of all.

I'm very disappointed at Palm particulary when rumors and extravagant marketing shout-out began surfacing all over the media world. It seems his "secret project" codenamed Foleo, which according to Palm,a smart phone companion product. A laptop look-alike whom its main business according to them is to provide on real productivity-minded business people who want a more complete mobile solution for email, attachments and access to the web. Yeah, right.

They still don't get the grasp or niche of mobile computing wherein all of their competitors are currently doing their homework not the way Jeff Hawkins is doing. It seems the poor guy are living in an outdated or maybe on a slow-paced world of technology innovation.

Looks like Palm are leading its way in the wrong path. What Foleo can do that other laptop couldn't? Nothing. Palm's just to way late for introducing devices that could make the customers shout with glee and reach the highest peak on the stock trade.

I've been in thought on how am I gonna create long messages and spreadsheet using my Treo 680 on-board QWERTY keypad. I'm used on my Lifedrive Wireless Keyboard(Using Infrared) so when I switch from LD to Treo 680, I'm partly unable to grasp the idea on how am I going to get to used the idea tapping the small QWERTY button on my Treo 680 since my fingers don't have the size that fits with those tiny buttons. I do sometimes get irritated when my compositions seem to get out of line.

So, when Palm announced the availability of a bluetooth keyboard especially fitted for Treo's, a sensational hype feeling suddenly gotten out of me. Sure this could be no-big deal to others but in my case, I'm starting to count the days for the moment this accessories will hit our shores.

Treo 755. Further Stripped

Here's the deal on the Palm Treo 755: It's a 750 generation variant, running on Palm OS and Sprint instead of Windows Mobile and AT&T/Cingular/Whatever. That means its got that Sprint EVDO we know and love, even if it is at slightly slower Revision 0 speeds of 400-600 kilobits/sec.

On the hardware side of things, the phone has an Intel Xscale 312MHz proc, 128MB or RAM, and a 320x320 screen (instead of the Samsung 300MHz chip and the 240x240 screen of the Treo 750), and will come in blue and dark red in that silky velvechron finish I can't stop manhandling. On the software side of things, Palm's shipped the phone with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Bejeweled, IM for AIM, Yahoo! and MSN, and some unique Google Map integration.

Google Maps tweaks are

... address book integration. Basically, you can click the "Map" button on a contact entry with an address inside, and awaaaaay you go to Google Maps. From there, you can route to and from the address with a few more keystrokes. The Google Maps implentation does a good job of using the EVDO speed to update the map's data. And it shows the traffic compatible software. A shame they don't put GPS in this new addition to the Treo family.

Blinking LED for Treo 680

I am always fascinated phones/pda/smartphone who has a blinking light atop either for signal confirmations,email and text messages confirmations, or just for plain decorative purposes.
It's beautiful. It's entertaining. And it's looks very cool. For me coz I don't know if others really appreciate this kind of gadget display.

So when I first unwrapped my first Treo, the Treo 680. I gasped in awe and excitement the moment I push its battery to its lid(To Start the Treo ON, battery is the switch). I see the blinking RED when its looks for the network signal but to my dismay, that blinking RED are just only for signal gathering procedures. Not the typical blinking all the time led but for signal gathering. 15% Part of my 100% percent enthusiasm die for at least a day. But I looked at the bright side the way my Treo works and looks.
I thought I will never see the moment where my Treo could do exactly what I really wanted her to do. Here comes the Service LED for Treo 680 from Wish Solution. The freeware(FREE OF CHARGE) actually restore the enthusiasm which have died so many weeks ago.

Palm Releases a Treo Online Backup Application

Palm has released a new over the air mobile backup solution on their mobile web portal. Palm Backup Beta will automatically save a copy of your Treo's data to a secure server every day, from anywhere you have wireless data coverage. The appearance of this service is sudden but not entirely unexpected, given the recent amount of chatter amongst the Palm OS user community predicting a strong push by Palm into wireless service-related offerings.

The service currently supports backups from Contacts, Calendar, Memos, Tasks, Blazer bookmarks, Treo phone app quick dials, and the call log. No desktop computer is required and automatic backup schedules are available. Palm does offer a brief listing of optimization tips for the service that is certain to expand once more users begin using this utility regularly.

Palm states that the service will only be free for a limited time. No word on the service's official launch data or its pricing. Palm lists device compatibility only with the Treo 700p, 680 and 650 and as always, an unlimited data plan is highly recommended.

What trend am I referring to? I'll quote myself from a recent Computerworld column called "The Decline and Fall of the Palm Empire":
"Palm merges with another company only later to be spun off. The company ignores the founders' direction, only to later acquire their start-up and take up its direction. Palm spins out the software division only later to buy back the rights to it. Palm gives up the Palm trademark only to later buy it back."

One thing I do like having PDA/Smartphone is the ability to make my financial transactions very mobile. Instead of jotting down in a piece of paper or bringing your own bulky laptop my worksheets of expenses, bill payments and bank accounts. Organizing my expenses and income are a huge factor on my budget planning.

My first PDA's(T3 & Lifedrive) has a pre-installed "Expense" which makes easy for me to control and manipulate my spending habits. When I got my Treo 680 recently, I discovered that they have not included it. I have no other choice but to look in the internet the most suitable software with of course I made to the point that this factors should be my guide on choosing from a bunch of same software/s that are currently available in the market.

I discovered In Expense V. 2.1.1 that suits my need. Though I have it in my devices is a trial software, I'm planning to acquire the full version.

A New Replaced Treo 680

I just got my newly-replaced Treo 680 courtesy of SM Southmall Complink. So far, so good. No resets upon activation of the bluetooth. I've crossed my fingers that this time, it will go smoothly.

I also managed to purchased some sort of protection to avoid scratches and dirt at Digital Walker. It is a silicone cover with flip-top tranparent cover. And it cost Php750.00. Expensive but I'd rather invest on protective accessories than to be sorry the next time I accidentally slip it out of my hands.

My Treo 680 Resets While Activating Bluetooth

I haven't encountered on my recent Palm devices this kind of scenario where resets
goes due to Bluetooth activation. I presumably conclude that this might be a software
imcompatibility. Tried a hard reset(*press the power and disconnect the battery then
putting it back while waiting for the Palm logo then release the power button for system erase prompt)) but still it goes on resetting.

Though it's kinda of hard to let it go even just for a short time but I had to because I don't
want to waste its warranty. I just bought it last March 2 and I'm kinda fortunate that
a flaw has been diagnosed this early. I'm thinking that the culprit might be a torn bluetooth
switch or it has something to do with it's version which is right now on my Treo a 1.2 version

CompLink Sm Southmall gives me a timetable for 2 weeks max. Just right now, it's kinda weird
to go somewhere esp. in the office without my dependale Palm PDA. Just like walking in the
streets naked.

Hope it could be more earlier and most of all, that flaw will be gone and I'll be having a time
of my life.

Now I got my Treo 680, I'm having a hard time looking for a case that will prevent any scratches,dirt and exposures to all the natural elements(i.e. moist,dust, heat,etc.) to my new device. I've gone to Digital Walker(Sm Southmall) but no avail, only the Brando Aluminum Case is available and it's ugly. Can't bear to see the '680 on that crap.

I've look in the net for possible solution and I got this lists of cases where realistic and unrealistic reality roams in a way you'll take steps back just to think, " Whoa, it's gorgeous but it will cost an arm". However, it will really looks good on my Treo.

My Very Own Treo 680

Thought I'm about to switch to the "dark side". Well, dark side means being hooked on Windows-based pda/smartphone but to no avail, my true calling goes on the ever and most user-friendly and famous Palm.

I've gone first with Tungsten T3, Next is my Lifedrive and my first ever Palm-based smartphone/pda, the new Treo 680. I never really liked the Treo series especially the Treo 600/650 as well as the other Windows-based Treo's. If your wondering what is the reason why I've never been a Treo-fan is just simply its design states a downward impression on me.
To be specific? The antenna. It is I think a downgrade innovation when all other phones/smartphones in the market right now are busily bringing forth models of less-antenna devices. So when Palm release this next series of Treo, they have reach and been universally acknowldeged and praised by eradicating that bungling stick. At least Palm may have reserved an open ears to hear the pleas of its customers.

Palm announced the unavailability of Lifedrive, Palm's first mobile manager featuring a 4-gigabytes hardrive, Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth. It has been branded "end of life" where speculations rises up that to the extent that there will be no longer Lifedrive II.

Does it further justify the fact that stand alone pda's from Palm can no longer be seen for the next years that will come? Is this some sort of image-changing Palm has been trying to display for the past years? Maybe, because of the current trend today that smartphone nowadays are hot and almost all manufacturers have been trying to "feel the grip'" on what's hot right now.

Palm recently announced the availability of an unlocked Treo 680 for a roughly USD$399.00.

The Treo 680 is powered by Palm OS Garnet v5.4.9. It runs a 312 MHz Intel processor and has 64MB of user available storage memory and 64MB of SDRAM. The screen is a 320 x 320 pixel color touch-screen display. The 680 features a full size SD slot for memory expansion. It has a slimmer 1200 mAh rechargeable battery for up to 4 hours talk time. Bluetooth v1.2 wireless and IR are included as well as a VGA digital camera.

The phone is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE Class 10 device and has a internal quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) antenna that is said to feature improved TIS/TRP performance (better RF reception) than the Treo 650.

It has dimensions of 2.29" x 4.40" x 0.8" inches (58.4 x 111.8 x 20.3 mm) and weighs in at 5.5 ounces (156g).

Here I go again...

Drooling and always daydreaming about the latest gadgets soon to be released on the market. I am again, full of anticipation of getting a new and fresh toy which I everyday included on my wishlist.

Treo 680. I can't wait to have you on our shores be my ever depending companion on my day to day lives.

Why I really wanted to have it? This is why.

1. It has a chic and innovative design. Ideal shape for a smart phone.

2. No longer an antenna-bearer Treo,(not like its predecessors).

3. A smart phone running on the ever-depending and easy to use Palm OS.

4. I think it has a great screen and higher resolution compare to other Treo.

5. Palm considered Treo 680 as its formal and capable entry for its smartphone campaign.

6. It will be available in different colors(just what I just said, like candies)

7. New and exciting multimedia softwares were pre-installed to further make your experience memorable.

8. and lastly.... it's cheap which is truly ideal for price-sensitive consumer and user like me

I always check the internet for some reasons. Emails, new products, informations on things and news. But being connected on the go requires a lot of effort and money. Wi-Fi hotspots were only limited to cafes,malls, airports and schools.My solution? I downloaded Avant Go software to my PDA. Avant Go compiles news, technology infos, reviews upon syncronization ready for viewing on my Lifedrive thru channels. My list of channels includes Palm Info Center, Washington Posts, Wired News, CNET News, CNET Reviews, Health News & PC World. By syncronizing to my PDA to a PC with an internet connection, it automatically refreshes and update latest contents on its subscribed channels.

Palm enthusiasts are second only to Apple enthusiasts in the energy they devote to speculation about what products are coming next. It's no surprise, really. Palm isn't quite as secretive as Apple when it comes to giving information about future product releases, but they do a pretty good job keeping their plans under wraps. That leaves the field wide open to all kinds of theories, based on past history, the occasional word that drops from an executive's lips, or fuzzy images "leaked" by Photoshop mavens.
But if rumors and press release exegetics aren't your bag, you can learn a lot about what to expect from Palm in the coming years from a more authoritative source: Palm's own web site. The trick is to look carefully at the job posting , which often describe new product development in surprising detail. Let's take a walk through some recent job descriptions and see what we can learn. Sorry I can't provide links to the exact page in Palm's site. They use content management software that prevents this, but it's easy enough to find the ones I'm talking about if you want to read more for yourself.
Looking for Linux in all the wrong places?
The first thing that stands out--and has at least since I started checking in August of last year--are the openings for Linux engineers. The idea--I'll go out on a limb and say fact--that Palm has been working on a new Linux-based system for future Palm devices has been discussed quite a bit on this site. Whether or not you believe leaks by an analyst insider who states categorically that Palm's Linux OS is real and coming in 2007, the evidence from the job descriptions is pretty strong. Past and current openings for embedded Linux engineers have been replete with statements like "You will be responsible for the design and development of components of a new software platform." A new posting this month for a "Linux Tools Engineer" seems to indicate that Palm is starting to prepare development tools for this new platform:
"We're looking for an assertive candidate to help shape and maintain our Linux environments, and to deliver innovative tools to be used in creating Palm's world-class mobile devices. The tools include a wide variety of applications from hardware test utilities running on devices to debuggers running on the desktop."
Software developers will recognize the subsequent reference to "Eclipse plugin development" as a sign that Palm is considering building off the same open source tool framework that PalmSource used as the basis for the Palm OS Developer Suite. I'll allow that the mention of "our Linux environments" could refer to internal workstation environments rather than device operating system products, but the reference to "utilities running on devices" is a good sign that this role is related to the "new software platform" mentioned in other postings. Palm has no need internally of new Linux tools for the Garnet development they've been doing for years, still less for the Windows Mobile products that require Microsoft tool chains.
Could Palm be gearing up to license the ACCESS LINUX PLATFORM rather than turning its back on PalmSource to build its own successor to Palm OS Garnet? Sure. Palm's Linux OS could be just a fallback plan and it's a good way to cultivate the Linux experience they need even if they end up licensing ALP. But this is where facts yield their ground to theories and rumors. I have mine. You make your own!
Tempted again by the Server Side
Moving on to other job openings we see "Java Server Side Engineer." Server side? When did Palm last develop software for servers? Palm used to operate proxy servers that accepted requests for web pages from the Blazer browser, looked up the desired content and served up a version of it that was optimized for small screens and slow wireless connections. They shut that service down last September, since all Palm and Handspring devices since the Treo 600 have shipped with faster radios and a capable new OS 5 browser that didn't require the proxy.
Palm also used to operate Palm.Net, which was arguably the first wireless network for handheld mobile computers (as distinct from mobile phones or pagers). That service delivered optimized content and wireless application data to the Palm VII wireless PDAs over what was then a pretty large American pager network. Not counting the BlackBerry service, which at that time worked only with pager-like email-only devices, Palm-Net delivered the first "push" email to PDAs thanks to the advent of the Palm i705. But well before Palm.Net ceased operation in August of 2004, Palm had stopped developing new devices for the network and the BlackBerry morphed into a real PDA that soon dominated the now hot push email market.
Everything else Palm has invested or considered investing in on the server side has died on the vine. So it's interesting that we now see signs of renewed interest through job descriptions like this:
"Development engineer for server side application and system software on new product development project. Responsible for all server development (design through implementation and release), working with device engineers and design lead on overall system architecture and design."
The posting speaks of "future applications and web services," experience with "embedded device component integration of server side applications" and working "very closely with Device architect to jointly make design and implementation decisions for the product being developed."
It's difficult to say what "the product being developed" is from this information other than the fact that it seems to involve integration--not mere transfer of documents or files--between server and device. Is it a new smartphone, or a new "something else" that uses mobile data networks to exploit the processing power and storage of a server farm?
Jeff Hawkins has been dropping infuriating hints about upcoming products of a secret "third business " at Palm, which are the implication of "of a world where everyone has a super high-speed Internet connection in their pocket and many gigabytes of storage, super-fast processors, audio, visual and multimedia." Before we consider what that implication might be, let's ask "is that a world that will be here any time soon?"
Actually, yeah. In fact, that world is already here for people who live in range of a 3G wireless network, because once you have the high-speed Internet coupled with voice and maybe a camera, all the rest--the "super-fast processors" and "gigabytes of storage"--is at your fingertips. It's on the server side.
What might Palm be thinking of doing with all that server power? Here again, the facts fail us and we're left with guesswork. The possibilities are pretty exciting, in my opinion. How about using your voice or a photo for inputting data or querying search engine? Good voice recognition and optical character recognition are still impractical on devices constrained by their batteries to using slow processors, but a server can turn raw voice or image data into plain text and fire it back to the device in a flash. This could overcome one of the most persistent obstacles to the mass adoption of handheld computers: the awkwardness of data input using a stylus or tiny keypad. Of course, it's pure speculation whether this is what Palm is up to, but I offer it to suggest the enormity of the opportunity that broadband wireless data presents for the kind of integration of device and server described in this job posting. It's not just about watching TV on your handset.
One development that correlates intriguingly with this guesswork is the progress Jeff Hawkins' and Donna Dubinsky's new company Numenta has made in developing a new approach to machine visions. They have already demonstrated an early version of their software that they claim does a better job of recognizing objects from incomplete or noisy visual input than previous AI algorithms have achieved. Might Palm become one of Numenta's first licensees down the road? No one knows, but if they did, it's a sure bet that the software for interpreting audio or image data from the device would initially run on a server, not on the device itself.
Enough with the wild speculation. Looking a bit further into the engineering openings at Palm we can find more definite (and down to earth) clues about nearer-term plans for an integrated server/device product.
They can run, but they can't hide
One thing that keeps a lot of companies from deploying smart devices and software to their mobile employees is the hassle of keeping track of those devices, securing their data, and keeping them updated with the latest software and firmware. Once released "into the wild," mobile devices are a lot harder to administer and secure than desktop workstations, which tend to stay put, or at least stay in the building. This makes administering these devices a costly, error-prone affair.
Palm currently has an opening for a "FOTA Software Lead." FOTA stands for firmware update over-the-air. The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) has created a widely adopted industry standard for device management called OMA Device Management (OMA-DM) of which FOTA is a part. The idea of OMA-DM is to enable an administrator to update the firmware or software of any device in the company remotely over the wireless network. This enables no-touch deployments of new software, remote disabling of devices that have been lost or stolen, and even flashing of the device's ROM with system updates no matter where the device might be lurking.
The FOTA Software lead's job at Palm will be the following:
"Lead effort with cross-functional team to design and developing support for OTA updating of Treo smartphones. This might include working with external vendors.
Work to define a roadmap and architecture for using OMA-DM to provide various services/functionality in a consistent way across Palmís various platforms."
Device management may not sound like the most exciting thing to end-users (which is most of us) but it's a very big thing for IT departments. Your IT department might be a lot more likely to issue you the latest Palm device if they didn't have to worry so much about how they were going to get it back from you to perform updates or what would happen if it fell into the wrong hands. OMA-DM is a Good Thing and I'm not aware of any smartphone or wireless handheld that currently ships with it out of the box. Perhaps Palm hopes to be the first.
Conclusion
Hiring people to create a new product and releasing the product are two different things. Products can be canceled for any number of reasons: engineering problems, changes in the competitive landscape, changes in the priorities of the product managers, or changes in the managers themselves. If you want to know how the chips will actually fall you should get in touch with your psychic advisor and she'll give you information that even Ed Colligan doesn't know. But if you want to know what Palm's plans are--what they are trying to execute on today and hope to ship in the years to come--looking at the job descriptions of the people they are hiring is a good place to start.

PALM Focusing now as a smartphone company

Recent update from PALM further indicates that the days of PDA are near for the company are changing its course to the smartphone craze. As PALM recently held its fiscal first quarter conference, Palm's CEO Ed Colligan informs investors about the company's performance on those past quarters.

Updates about the recently release PALM Treo 750V were also been discussed. It is clear now that its target market they are trying to penetrate is Europe which mobile users are now a majority smartphone fanatics. New upcoming models of TREO were also been highlighted to further validate Palm's venture on this side of the world. Price ranging up to US$300.00 smartphones were being flagged.

PALM SUPPORTS CALIFORNIA BILL

Palm has been the first smartphone company who has publicly support a certain bill from the State of California to exercise and enforce a hands-free usage of phone/smartphone while driving a vehicles. Such move from Palm strongly indicated to promote safety while driving and phone ethics.

Palm is making a wise decision on having a firm stand where other phone company should also do. They should prioritize first the safety of their phone user by informing the public about the importance of acquiring and using hands-free earphone while behind the wheels.

How come Palm devices introduced to the market lately where all being tagged along with a Window OS? Take example with the Treo Collection. First edition of Treo's were under Palm OS while the latest were being awarded under Windows OS banner? It's kind of sad that Palm which has revolutionized the handheld devices were now under the spell of a monopolizing software giant? Does it really undertakes the legacy Palm has bestowed on PDA's history of existence? Sooner or later Palm OS will be history as I can imagined the way thing are going now. Not to mention the inability of its creator/s to withstand pressures which are currently building up. Do they have to bow always to those who tried monopolizing the very core of digital revolution? Melt-Away While Grindin'

The button-like located at back of my LD which served as some sort of protection whenever the LD is laid flat, melts due to heat which were emitted while the unit is in its protective leather case flip top.
Right now, I prefer to use the case which was included in the box upon purchase. This case with hard front obliged me to "peel" the unit from its holding case upon usage thus ideal on preventing such occurence.

Year 2001=I did not really plan on being hooked-up with those tiny little thing. All I can remember is that ONE DAY I saw a man holding a handheld device and busily tapping with its stylus and the next thing I know, I'm on a mall gazing against the glass windows of those stores looking for small handheld that caught my interest. I don't even have the slightest idea what it could do to me in terms of its functionality. I don't even know what Palm OS are or do they exist? All I know is it looks good with that man holding and tapping its screen. Yes, that might be the trigger of being acquainted with Palm handhelds. The fact that you posses such kind of hi-tech gadget IS KINDA COOL and if you have that in your filthy hands surely gives an impression of being in a sophisticated lifetyle. Just see it this way, your JUST an ordinary LOWLY- guy wearing a tuxedo making a pass on a beautiful girl. Get the point?My first device(courtesy of my GF credit card --I know what your thinking, just bear me with) is a Palm T3. It's innovatively designed with a slider. Nice and compact ideal for people on the go like me. It has a bluetooth for easy file transfer. It can create,view and edit documents. It can browse the internet courtesy of bluetooth-capable phone.It's only downside is its battery. Turning on all its high features(such as bluetooth,high brightness displays & sound)will surely drain its power in minutes.It is that moment where I learn to appreciate being organized and go with the schedules. With the right software, your usual habit of organizing will be elevated to a much more complex and next-level of making your life far more easier and practical.

At last, my prayers were answered. Palm has finally realized that antenna-thing is no longer cool in this current tech world of ours. I usually hesitated on purchasing Treo models whenever I got that"urge" to spend my bucks just to sustain my indulgement on gadgets. Either need or wants. I'm not a big fan fan of mobile phones with that bulging antenna. It's wise move for Palm to decapitate that sticks out of Treo for good. Might be more wiser if they include a huge storage capacity as well as Wi-Fi capabilities on those filthy things.
