Palm's Ed Colligan announced the next year release of Palm OS II, a Linux-Garnet hybrid operating system for Palm devices and smartphone. Expect future release of Treo's and other Palm devices will still run on the current existing available Palm OS. As of the moment, the company are focusing all their effort to make the Foleo platform be an effective mobile platform.
As per slideshow images, Colligan reiterated Palm OS II next features and functionalities are as follows:
Palm's only hope to be able save its face and reputation will now rely on releasing OS different from others. We all know the ultimate nature of Palm OS is its simplicity and easy-to-use modes, hope Palm could still catch-up on this kind of fast-paced competition.
