Palm Begins Beta Testing....

Rumor it may seems but a lot of activities are currently shot at Palm.

Word on the street (or via super-secret emails) is that Palm is about to begin beta testing on a fancy new device. Apparently, an email went out to select individuals calling for Sprint customers who will use Bluetooth devices and have access to WiFi. The email further requests that potential testers be "seasoned business professionals" who "commute and spend a ton of time working on email and on the phone."

From the sounds of things, the company is gearing up to road test its heavily rumored, WiFi-equipped Treo 800w, a Windows Mobile device likely sporting 6.1. If you don't know what we're talking about, it's that mildly dated looking deviceCES keynote that we've also seen in leaks recently. Nice going on the new spec and inclusion of WiFi (at long last) -- now how about some new form factors?

Foleo, Palm's "Secret Project"?

I'm very disappointed at Palm particulary when rumors and extravagant marketing shout-out began surfacing all over the media world. It seems his "secret project" codenamed Foleo, which according to Palm,a smart phone companion product. A laptop look-alike whom its main business according to them is to provide on real productivity-minded business people who want a more complete mobile solution for email, attachments and access to the web. Yeah, right.

They still don't get the grasp or niche of mobile computing wherein all of their competitors are currently doing their homework not the way Jeff Hawkins is doing. It seems the poor guy are living in an outdated or maybe on a slow-paced world of technology innovation.

Looks like Palm are leading its way in the wrong path. What Foleo can do that other laptop couldn't? Nothing. Palm's just to way late for introducing devices that could make the customers shout with glee and reach the highest peak on the stock trade.

Palm Confirms Announcement of New Device

Tagged as Hawkins "Secret Project", this rumored new device from Palm has stir a lot of attentions in this recent days. Hints and speculations have reach to its peak wherein how the new device will looks and sports features you never expected Palm will do.

It is been told that such device will be like an internet-tablet/pda device that runs on Linux-based paltform with Palm compatibility.

It is expected that Jeff Hawkins will finally unveil and present a full report on this upcoming device. Hope it's not another Origami.

Palm Plan to Release Windows Mobile 6 Devices

With its unveiling of Windows Mobile 6 at Barcelona's 3GSM Trade Show, Microsoft released confirmation of lists of names of mobile operators and device makers with plans of integration of the its latest Windows-based OS for mobile computing to their products.

Rumors of the possible upgrade of the aging Palm OS 5 has been made far impossible to be true of this announcement. Does it mean that Palm will soon become an only- device maker of smartphone/PDA minus its trademark, Palm OS?
